“Turkey” Eurovision Song Contest 2010

Powered by www.eurovision.tv maNga had already been very successful, winning the Best European Act award at the MTV Music Awards 2009. So, now it was time they'd try to win the Grand Prix of the Eurovision Song Contest. And close they were, placing second! Who are they? maNga's story began when Ya?mur Sar?gül "Yamyam" (Guitar) separated his ways with the cover band he played with at local bars. His plan for his new band was to combine rock music and electronic music bringing hard guitar riffs and rap vocals together. The band began playing "nu metal" and "hard rock" songs. As a result the band was named maNga after the traditional Japanese cartoon art, bringing five different characters, five different music styles and five different world views together. From 2001 onwards, the band released several highly successful albums which all became top sellers in their native country of Turkey. maNga won the Best European Act award at the MTV European Music Awards in November 2009. That was not the only award the band won in 2009 though, maNga has taken numerous other awards as well, including for the best video, the best band, the best song, the best album and the best performance.!

I am against to be in EU because we are coplitally diferent than them and instead of loosing our values which are making us how we are I prefer to be live forever like this! If being in EU is making you in Europe cyprus is more Asia (Middle east like you know) open map and see and please read some books 
I want to say this who is talking about Turkey in here doesn’t have any idea about culture and geography! First middle east is not a name exactly how world divided! Second if you read some about history? you can see asia minor as name which people were calling Anatolia! USA wanted to give name and became middle east! About culture Turkish people are more specific come and see you can’t say Turkey is belonging to this reagion compare Europe and Turkey?

@sguardintenso You know what… I’m not going to argue since its Christmas. However I haven’t visited nor do i? plan to. But there is a girl that goes to my school who is from Turkey and she herself said its more middle-eastern culture then anything. Anyways… Happy Holidays to whatever you, yourself celebrate.
